### What is Assistant and how does it work?

Our core product is a global phone plan, and we’ve added an optional AI Assistant to your line. It handles your calls, blocks spam and even makes calls on your behalf. You can turn it on in the Calls tab at no additional cost.

### Does Assistant work with my normal iPhone dialer?

Today, Assistant works through the Popcorn app. It will work natively with your iPhone dialer by the end of 2026.

### Do I have to use Assistant?

No, it’s completely optional.

### Can I choose when Assistant answers?

You can choose to let Assistant answer all calls, only missed calls, or everyone except your contacts.

### Can I temporarily pause Assistant?

Yes! You can pause Assistant for 1, 8 or 24 hours, or turn it off anytime.

### How does the spam blocking work?

We’ve built a spam engine that checks every incoming call against known lists and learns over time. Spam is automatically answered by our Assistant and logged in the app. It’s like a junk mail filter for your calls.

### Can I customize the name and voice of Assistant?

Yes, you can choose from three voices and set a custom pickup greeting (e.g. your business name or nickname).
